For those who need even more power, the Z1 Extreme version packs an eight-core Zen 4 CPU with sixteen threads and twelve RDNA 3 GPU cores with 24MB cache. Plus, if you're really looking to amp up your gaming experience, you can hook up an external GPU with the console supporting up to ROG XG Mobile which packs a GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU.

But that's not all - both models come with 16GB LPDDR5 dual-channel memory and 256/512GB PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD of the 2230 size, along with a 40Wh battery pack that offers up to two hours of endurance in heavy gaming titles under the 15W performance mode. Asus has also added dual fans and a copper heat pipe to help with cooling, ensuring that your device stays cool even during intense gaming sessions. And, with a 65W PD charger included, you won't have to worry about running out of juice mid-game.

In terms of design, the ROG Ally is sleek and stylish, featuring an aluminum chassis and weighing in at just 608 grams. It has exact device dimensions of 280 x 111 x 21.2mm, making it easy to carry around with you wherever you go. Plus, it runs full-fledged Windows 11 Home with a special edition of Asus Armoury Crate on top, giving you access to Xbox Game Pass and a three-month trial with each ROG Ally purchase. You can also run games from any other major game launcher and game streaming services.
